Pig Roast 2011
Another year, another pig.
The sixth annual MESA Pig Roast was another huge success. Students and Faculty alike enjoyed the delicious slow-cooked pig and wonderful side dishes. The night didn't end with the last bite of pork, however, A beer night at Tequila capped off the evening.HERE, or on the MESA Facebook page!.
Double Header Beer Nights
MESA's Back to School Special
MESA knows how to start the school year off right. With back-to-back cheap beer nights, that's how. The beer flowed freely for Thursday and Friday night giving past and present students a chance to catch up after a summer away from school.
Saskatoon's biggest and baddest annual pubcrawl
MECH-ELEC 2010 was a great old time, starting with the pubcrawl visiting Tequila's Nightclub, Outlaw's, and the Pat. Almost 600 tickets were sold, and 6 busses of drunken, rowdy college students hit the streets of Saskatoon. Check out the pictures HERE,
Pig Roast 2010
Great food and a great time
This year's pig roast was the fifth annual held by MESA and the first big event of the year. Students and faculty met in the Hardy lab to enjoy some delicious pig. The event was a huge success with the night ending at Tequila's night club. Check out the pictures HERE, or on the MESA Facebook page!.
Pig Roast 2007
A succulent pig and and plenty of people to enjoy it
The second annual MESA Pig Roast was a big hit this year. Students and faculty members from Mechanical Engineering joined forces to devour roasted pig and pop, and to have a little friendly competition of horseshoes. After the feasting was done, MESA threw a 2 hour beer night for anyone who had attended the pig roast. Check out some pictures of the pig roast and the night after here.

The event runs from 7 till 9pm, plenty of time to crush your opponents on the rink (just kidding, this game's for fun)! Your $5 ticket gets you two hours of playing and supper provided by Louis'. There will be "extra tasty" beverages available at the rinks as well. Come on out and have some fun after the middle-of-term rush! Contact a MESA executive member for tickets.
On-Campus Day with MESA
MESA doing its part to promote engineering among Saskatchewan's youth...
Brandon and Tyler put on a great presentation for On-Campus Day for the high school students that came to learn about Engineering. MESA ran an information booth for the day and answered any questions the students had about our discipline or Engineering in general. We have a great college with a fantastic program and we want the potential Engineers of the future to know about it! Click here for some photos.
The Resolution Breaker 2007
It's time to make bad on that "no more partying" resolution...
This was one hell of an event. The colleges of Engineering, Kinesiology, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Nursing combined forces to throw an event for one thousand people. Actually, tickets sold out so fast that we made one hundred more, and they sold out too! If you think eleven hundred people partying and having a great time all over Saskatoon was a blast, you're absolutely right. From t-shirts to buses, MESA had the evening covered. Click here for some photos, and check this space soon for some upcoming events this term. MESA isn't done yet!
Mech-Elec Pub Crawl
October 2006... five buses... 500 people...
If your idea of a good time involves five hundred intoxicated people partying all over Saskatoon, then you have come to the right place. Mechanical and Electrical Engineers unite on October 20 to bring you the biggest and best party around. Here's how it works: you buy a $10 ticket (includes t-shirt) and start partying. Then you hop on a bus, and party on the way to the next party. Rinse and repeat. We handle the logistics, you take care of the drunken debauchery. Buses leave at 9pm and start their voyage around Saskatoon's best night-life locations, returning to the starting bar before last call.
Fort McMurray Trip
November 2006... one bus... infinite opportunity...
MESA is planning a trip for Mechanical Engineering students to visit Engineering-related work sites in Fort McMurray. This is your chance to make some valuable industry contacts and learn more about different careers in your field. The trip is still in the planning stages, but expect a departure date of November 17 and an approximate trip cost of $50 per student. There is a maximum of 47 students on the trip, so get your tickets early!
Stay tuned for more updates on this event.
